  Notes	Francis Marion Magers left Knox Co. Ohio in 1855 and taught school in Noble Co. Indiana. In 1852 he went to school at St.Mary's Academy in Perrysville Mo. He remained three years and then went one year at St.Joseph Seminary in Bards- town KY, living with a familly of Logsdon relatives. He returned to Knox Co. & taught school until mother's death. He "read" medicine with Dr. C. Bryant of Mt.Vernon. In 1864 he entered U of Mich. Medical school. In 1865 he began an active practice in Churubusco Ind. He was a country MD. for over fifty years.
